Paraguay 4600

 Palermo - Buenos Aires

View from the balcony
Location! Location! Location!

Great location in the best barrio.  Steps away from  bars, restaurants, shopping, and museums.  Located 4 blocks from the subte, transportation, gardens, and museums. A whole new world from the 17th floor.

Palermo is the largest and in my opinion, the best barrio in Buenos Aires.  There are many shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs, and museums.  The Botanical Garden is 4 blocks away.  It is a lovely place to visit any time of year.  The zoo is behind the Botanical Gardens and the Palermo Parks another 5 blocks.  The apartment is about 6 blocks from Plaza Serrano, which is a hub of activity and hosts a wonderful market on weekends.  On Saturdays there is a Farmer's Market hosted by the city of Buenos Aires on Nicaragua between Armenia and Malabia.

Of course after a full day of touring, shopping, or dancing tango, it is nice to come home and relax on the balcony.

The Apartment

Bedroom for Rent
The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  One bedroom is a rental.  This bedroom has the main bathroom.  Since there are few guests that visit, the bathroom is really for the guest.  The owner has her own bedroom and bathroom.  The bedroom is a reasonable size with a full size bed and a full closet.  The closet has lots of hangers and a small chest of drawers.  There are 2 changes of sheets and lots of towels.

As the bedroom is in the back of the apartment it is relatively quiet.  There are room darkening curtains (For those who stay out all night and sleep all day.).  The room has its own AC/Heat unit with a remote control.

The room has been freshly painted a nice neutral yellow.

The bed is very comfortable. It is a pillowtop mattress with a foam topper.  The pillows are brand new.

The Bathroom

The bathroom was completely remodeled when I bought the apartment. There is also a hairdryer for your convenience.  I also supply the hand soap and toilet paper.

The Rest of the Place

Although you are renting only a bedroom, you are welcome to use the kitchen and living room.  The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven.  There is also a table and chair so if you want to use your computer, it is very comfortable.  I keep all the common areas clean and supply the paper products and soap.  I will wash the sheets and towels, however, you are responsible for keeping your bedroom clean.

The living room has television with cable.

A small dining area is incorporated into the living room.
It is also where I give my English Classes.

This is the hall between the living room and
the kitchen.  It is also a gallery for my photography.

Jerrybrown the cat.  He is very affectionate and loves people.

This is Maxi, short for Maximiliana.  She is waiting outside
Full City Cafe.  She is nobody's fool.  No wet ground for her, only a table will do.

Transportation

Plaza Italia is a main transportation hub.  It is 4 blocks from the apartment.  There you will find the subte (metro, underground, subway) and many buses.  Taxis are easy to find.  The buses are 24 hours. You do not want to drive here.

Nightlife

Palermo is home to lots of nightclub, theaters, and restaurants.  You don't have to go too far, to find something fun to do.

Tango

The apartment is walking distance to Canning, La Viruta, La Milonguita, and Villa Malcom.  The 12 Bus on Santa Fe will drop you at the door of El Beso or a block or two from El Obelisco or Lo de Celia.  The 64 takes you to Plaza Bohemia.  The 39 will drop you at La Nacional or Nuevo Chique.
